On September 17-19, Tashkent hosted negotiations between representatives of the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and the delegation of the Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan. The purpose of the visit was to exchange practical experience and discuss prospects for strengthening cooperation in the field of tax administration.
Special attention was paid to the issues of digitalization of tax processes. The Tajik side presented the experience of implementing a digital warehouse and applying a residence certificate, which allows increasing the transparency of tax accounting and simplifying administration. Uzbek specialists, in turn, shared the results of the introduction of online cash registers, the practice of working with taxpayers on the principle of "mahallabay", mechanisms of interdepartmental integration and currency control. Additionally, the issue of VAT calculation by foreign companies providing services on the territory of the republic was considered, which is of strategic importance for regulating the activities of international digital service providers.
During the visit, the delegation of Tajikistan visited the Yangi Technologiyalar Research Center, where they got acquainted with new digital solutions being implemented in the tax system of Uzbekistan. Among them are developments aimed at improving the efficiency of control and reducing the administrative burden on the business.
The negotiations showed a high level of interest on both sides in the further development of cooperation and the formation of modern tax administration tools. Cooperation in this area contributes to the creation of a more transparent and predictable business environment, which strengthens investor confidence and encourages the development of entrepreneurship.
