Company Mercedes-AMG officially unveiled the concept of a high-performance electric supercar — Concept AMG GT XX. The model is focused on competing in the premium electric liftback segment and is seen as a future rival to such vehicles as Porsche Taycan, Xiaomi SU7 and Denza Z9 GT.
Mass production of the Concept AMG GT XX is scheduled for 2026what sets it apart from the main competitors already available on the market.
Technical specifications
New product received three-engine powerplant, providing power more than 1 megawatt (1,360 hp). Electric motors work in conjunction with 800-volt system, which supports 850kw ultra-fast charging. The manufacturer declares that for 5 minutes you can add up to 400 km of mileage.

The basis of the power plant consists of axial electric motorsdeveloped by a British company YASA Limitedpart of the Mercedes-Benz group. One motor drives the front axle, two — the rear, implementing an all-wheel drive configuration with adaptive traction distribution. Such engines were previously used in the models of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Ferrari 296 GTB, as well as the Lamborghini Revuelto and Temerario.
Several divisions of the Mercedes-Benz group were responsible for the project at once:
- Sindelfingen Design office;
- Mercedes-AMG engineering team in Affalterbach;
- YASA Limited (United Kingdom);
- Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth (a division that develops engines for Formula 1).
Dimensions and aerodynamics
Concept dimensions:
- length — 5204 mm
- width - 1945 mm (without mirrors)
- height — 1317 mm
The aerodynamic drag coefficient is only 0,198, which makes the model one of the most streamlined in the class. The body structure is devoid of rear window. Installed instead digital display, on which you can display graphics or text for drivers behind you.
Battery and cooling
The vehicle uses new battery pack of our own design, equipped with cylindrical cells and direct oil cooling, which contributes to stable operation under high loads and increases the cell life.
Interior
The interior is designed in a futuristic style. Instead of the traditional steering wheel — steering wheelas in the Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven and Vision AMG concepts.
The control panel includes:
- 10.25-inch display in front of the driver;
- 14-inch center screen multimedia system.
Seats-lightweight, with a frame made of carbon fiber.
Design continuity
Externally, the concept refers to earlier experimental models of the brand — Vision One-Eleven and Vision AMG (2022). In general, the style combines the features of a supercar and futuristic grand touring.
The Concept AMG GT XX represents Mercedes-AMG's engineering and design development vector for the coming years, demonstrating the capabilities of high-tech platforms and the company's proprietary approach to electrification without compromising on dynamics.
