The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade has launched an operational mechanism to support entrepreneurs engaged in foreign economic activity in the Middle East. The decision was made in response to the complicated geopolitical situation in the region, which has a negative impact on logistics, customs procedures and international settlements.
Escalating tensions in the Middle East have already caused disruptions in transit, increased delays in cargo clearance, and difficulties with payments. These factors create additional risks for Uzbek exporters focused on Middle Eastern markets. In this regard, state structures have moved to a proactive response.
The official Telegram bot of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (@miit_tashqisavdo_bot) has opened a specialized section — "Problems related to exports to the Middle East". Companies can use it to send online requests in the following categories::
- logistics problems and supply disruptions;
- difficulties in passing customs procedures;
- restrictions on transit through third countries;
- difficulties with making international payments;
- other administrative and organizational barriers that arise in the course of foreign economic activity.
All requests are promptly processed by the relevant departments of the Ministry with the involvement of relevant departments. The goal is to ensure the fastest possible response and elimination of systemic obstacles that hinder the implementation of export contracts.
At the same time, a round-the-clock Call center is organized at the Republican Export Headquarters. Entrepreneurs can apply for advice, complaints, and clarifications by calling: +998 71 238 52 52. Support is provided 24/7.
The Ministry emphasizes that it will continue to monitor the external economic situation, promptly adapt support tools and strengthen the stability of national exports. In the context of instability in key foreign markets, protecting the interests of entrepreneurs and ensuring stable access of Uzbek goods to external consumers remains a priority.
