Vivo has announced a new affordable smartphone with 5G support-the Y29t 5G model. The device received a shock-resistant housing that meets the MIL-STD-810H standard, as well as IP64 protection against dust and splashes. The model is available for $260.
The smartphone measures 167.30 × 76.95 × 8.19 mm and weighs 202 grams. The design uses a robust housing designed for operation in difficult conditions.
The Vivo Y29t 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a maximum brightness of 570 nits. The device is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, in a configuration with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a storage capacity of up to 256 GB eMMC 5.1. Memory expansion via microSD card is supported.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery with support for 15W charging via the USB-C connector. The equipment includes a dual main camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor and an additional module. The front camera has a resolution of 5 MP.
The Y29t 5G runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, slots for two 5G SIM cards and microSD memory cards.
The model is designed for users who need a reliable smartphone with a large battery and basic 5G capabilities. The start of sales is announced in the near future.
