According to the Ministry of Justice, following the results of inspections, cases of illegal use of trademarks of South Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia by entrepreneurs were identified. Verification activities were initiated on the basis of requests from trademark holders.
During the inspections, the facts of placing signs on the facades of buildings with designations identical to the registered trademarks of Hyundai and Kia, without obtaining the appropriate permits from the brand owners, were confirmed. The established violations were eliminated on the spot: trademarks were removed from the facades, and the legal norms governing intellectual property issues were explained to entrepreneurs.
Based on the results of the audit, measures of influence were taken against violators in accordance with the procedure established by law. The Ministry of Justice stressed the importance of respecting intellectual property rights and the need to obtain permits for the use of registered trademarks in business activities.
