Panasonic has unveiled its first 3-chip DLP projector, the PT-RQ45K, with 40,000 lumens of brightness and 4K resolution. The model is designed for professional use in large installations and large outdoor areas where high light output is required. The device is scheduled to enter the market in the third quarter of 2026.
The PT-RQ45K provides a resolution of 3840 × 2400 pixels and supports high-frame rate signals, including 1080/240p. The design uses Quad Pixel Drive technology and a laser light source with two blue and one red laser diodes. In terms of brightness, the projector surpasses its predecessor-the RQ35K model - by 10,000 lumens while maintaining the same body dimensions.
The device is equipped with three 0.96-inch DLP chips with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels each and an aspect ratio of 16: 10. For easy operation, a 5-inch LCD display is provided on the projector body to monitor the system status and preview images. The projector supports Intel SDM expansion modules to extend functionality.
