President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, accompanied by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, visited IT Park Uzbekistan, where he got acquainted with the infrastructure and current activities of the country's leading technology cluster.
The Bulgarian delegation was informed about large-scale reforms in the field of digital technologies, strategic initiatives and plans for further development of the IT Park, the foundation of which was laid on November 20, 2019. The complex functions as a state-supported center for technological innovation with the goal of turning Uzbekistan into an international IT hub. The main focus is on supporting startups, developing the export of digital services and creating an environment for high-tech entrepreneurship.
During the visit, the delegation was shown working spaces, existing startups, as well as innovative developments in the field of artificial intelligence and digital solutions. Special attention is paid to the educational and infrastructural components — in particular, the planned creation of an integrated university campus, a co-working center and a conference hall on the territory of the technopark.
In his speech, the Bulgarian President stressed the importance of such initiatives for involving young people in global technological processes, as well as the importance of international cooperation in the field of digital transformation.
