The new version of AI is at the final stage of preparation and is expected to be available soon for subscribers of the SuperGrok tariff.
The development of Grok 3.5 is accompanied by technological strengthening of the company itself. In March 2025, xAI acquired a startup called Hotshot, which specializes in AI-powered video generation. It is expected that the integration of Hotshot developments will give Grok 3.5 multimedia features and expand its application capabilities in various sectors, including education, engineering and media.
Against the background of these events, it became known that Elon Musk changed the focus of his activities, leaving the post of head of the DOGE department under the US government. Now he personally oversees key areas of xAI development.
A special feature of Grok 3.5 is its ability to analyze and solve problems based on the principles of basic science. As stated, the new model is able to provide accurate and non-standard answers to technically complex questions, including on topics such as rocket engines and electrochemistry-even if such data is not available in open sources.
Grok 3.5, according to the developers, will be the first AI that does not just reproduce information, but builds original logical chains "from scratch", approaching the form of engineering or scientific thinking.
