Representatives of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran held talks on strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector. The main attention was paid to the exchange of experience, introduction of advanced technologies and establishment of joint production of medicines.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan and Iran discussed prospects for establishing joint ventures, research initiatives and professional training programs for specialists. It was noted that active cooperation between the relevant structures and the business community of the two countries will open up new opportunities for improving the efficiency of the pharmaceutical industry.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of providing the population with high-quality and affordable medicines, as well as on the need to diversify sources of supply and localize production. The negotiators expressed mutual interest in further expanding the partnership, emphasizing the importance of pharmaceuticals as a strategically important area for strengthening bilateral relations.
