Uzbekistan continues to expand the geography of sales of its textile products, focusing on entering promising European markets. One of the key areas of the new export strategy is the development of cooperation with Germany. In particular, the promotion of Uzbek textiles is carried out within the framework of the GSP+ preferential trade regime, which provides favorable conditions for deliveries to the countries of the European Union.
The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan implements an active policy to strengthen the position of domestic producers in foreign markets. In this regard, a business mission to Germany was organized with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the German Association of Knitwear manufacturers Gesamtmasche, and the Uztekstilprom Association.
As part of this initiative, more than 15 leading Uzbek textile companies presented their products and explored opportunities for expanding business ties. During the visit, participants took part in a specialized training program aimed at effectively using the trading advantages provided by the GSP+regime.
The program included seminars, practical trainings and meetings with potential European partners. Special attention was paid to the issues of product compliance with international quality standards, requirements of sustainable production and environmental safety.
The implementation of such events allows not only to increase the recognition of Uzbek textiles abroad, but also to strengthen the export potential of the country as a whole. Germany, as one of the largest importers of textile products in Europe, is seen as a strategic market that opens up new opportunities for further growth of the industry.
