On April 2, Uzbekistan presented its experience in respecting women's rights and promoting gender equality at the forum dedicated to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Geneva. The country's delegation was headed by Dilnoza Muratova, Deputy Director of the National Center for Human Rights, who made a report on the measures implemented in the republic to protect women's rights and their comprehensive support.
In her speech, Muratova elaborated on national mechanisms for monitoring women's rights, highlighting the efforts being made in Uzbekistan to ensure their equal participation in the country's socio-economic life. Special attention was paid to the issues of expanding women's economic opportunities, increasing their employment, access to education and health care, as well as strengthening their role in decision-making at all levels.
The presented experience aroused wide interest among the international community. The forum participants noted the significant progress made by Uzbekistan in the field of gender policy in recent years and expressed their readiness for further cooperation in this area.
Uzbekistan's participation in international platforms aimed at promoting the Sustainable Development Goals not only promotes the exchange of best practices, but also strengthens the country's image as an active participant in the global dialogue on human rights and gender equality.
