On April 15, 2025, Tashkent hosted a meeting of the working group within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey. The meeting was devoted to deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of economy and investment.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for increasing mutual trade, increasing investment cooperation, as well as the possibility of implementing new joint projects in key sectors of the economy.
Special attention was paid to the development of transport and energy infrastructure, modernization of the agricultural sector, as well as further strengthening of ties between the business circles of the two countries. It was noted that the intensification of business dialogue and exchange of experience will become the basis for deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding economic ties and expressed readiness for further constructive dialogue in the interests of sustainable growth and development.
