On April 12, 2025, the Wildberries marketplace officially announced the opening of a new sorting center in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the combined company Wildberries and Russ. The new facility replaces the previous logistics center located in the Kibraysky district, and will significantly speed up the delivery of orders — now residents of the capital will be able to receive their purchases in just 12 hours after registration.
The sorting center is equipped with state-of-the-art automated systems and has an increased area, which allows processing up to 100 thousand orders per day. This step was a response to the rapid growth of online trading volumes and increasing attention to the quality of customer service.
The company emphasizes that the opening of the new center is part of a large-scale strategy to expand the logistics infrastructure in the region. Recall that in October 2023, Wildberries announced plans to build a second large logistics complex in the Tashkent region. According to the announced plans, up to $ 140 million of investment will be allocated for the implementation of the project with an area of 150,000 square meters.
Tatiana Kim, head of the combined company Wildberries and Russ, confirmed that plans for further expansion in Uzbekistan remain in place and are already being implemented in stages. The new center in Yashnabad is another step in strengthening the company's position in the country's e-commerce market.
