President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has created the Business Women's Council. It consists of 27 female entrepreneurs representing various business sectors.
Among the members of the Council are Alina Tsymerman, founder of the Baho Test Center, Nodira Vakhidova, founder of the Business-Woman school, Gulzoda Rashidova, Deputy Chairman of Halk Bank, Nargiza Bekmuratova, head of the Artatex textile company, and others.
Nozimakhon Davletova, who holds a position in the Department of External Relations of the Presidential Administration, was appointed Chairman of the Council.
The main areas of activity of the Council will be support for women entrepreneurs in the financial and practical spheres, as well as interaction with government agencies. The Council will be able to report to the Legislative Chamber and the Cabinet of Ministers on the problems faced by women's businesses and propose measures to address them.
