Tashkent Inter-district Economic Court issued a decision to suspend construction work at the address: Yusuf Khos Khozhibiy Street, 28, Yakkasaray district. The lawsuit was filed by the Cultural Heritage Agency on the initiative of the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan in connection with violations that threatened the Museum of Applied Arts.
According to the foundation, the Museum of Applied Arts is a significant object of cultural heritage and an example of Tashkent modernism. The protection of such structures is important not only from the point of view of preserving the history, but also for preserving the architectural appearance of the city.
Earlier it became known that the Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan was dismissed from his post due to revealed violations in the issuance of construction permits.
The post of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was held by Abdulla Kuldashev. On February 25, Botir Kudratkhodjaev was appointed as the new minister.
