Узбекистан: Цифровой банкинг становится доступен нерезидентам

Digital bank TBC Bank Uzbekistan has opened full access to its services for non-residents of the country, expanding the range of clients to include foreign citizens living in Uzbekistan. Users can apply for debit cards, open deposits, make remote transfers, and manage their accounts online without visiting the office.

Connection to the services is built in a digital chain: installation of the TBC UZ application, online registration and data confirmation. Identification requires a foreign passport, temporary registration, PINFL, and local phone number. After remote onboarding, the agreement is signed at an on-site meeting with a representative of the bank-now in Tashkent, with plans to expand the geography by the end of the year.

The solution forms a single service standard that equalizes the opportunities of non-residents and residents: deposits with rates from 17 percent to 22 percent per annum, debit Salom Card with a loyalty program, transfers and an ecosystem of services in one application. For the market, this is a signal of the maturity of the regulatory environment and the readiness of banks to scale the digital KYC and risk management model.

For the clients themselves, this means reducing the transaction costs of entering the financial system and making it more predictable to work with products in local currency. Additionally, the bank is developing its product line: credit Osmon Card, insurance solutions TBC Sug'urta, service for entrepreneurs TBC Business and payment tools Visa Plus strengthen the network effect of the ecosystem and consolidate the company's position as one of the anchor players in digital banking in the region.

The comprehensive access format for non-residents expands financial inclusion, increases the depth of liabilities on the deposit base and promotes the growth of non-cash payments, which positively affects the monetary transmission and capital turnover rate in the economy.
