Uzbekistan — Germany: dialogue and investment

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Ayloev and German Ambassador Manfred Huterer confirmed at the meeting the policy of deepening the political dialogue and expanding the economic agenda. The talks will focus on increasing mutual trade, attracting direct investment and launching joint projects with an emphasis on advanced technologies and localization of production. The parties discussed the preparation of events for 2025, which allows us to build a predictable roadmap for cooperation: from industry missions and business forums to pilot projects at the regional level. The priorities are deep processing of raw materials and creating sustainable jobs outside of large agglomerations, where industrial cooperation with German companies can bring technological upgrades, efficiency standards and sustainable production practices. For Uzbekistan, this means access to the competencies of mechanical engineering, chemistry, power equipment, industrial automation and quality management systems, for German partners — a growing market and integration into the value chains of Central Asia. Strengthening institutional contacts and planning joint events create an infrastructure of trust for investors, increase the transparency of the regulatory environment and reduce project risks. On this basis, it is possible to scale up joint initiatives in the processing of mineral raw materials, production of components, modernization of infrastructure and implementation of digital solutions in industry and logistics. The partnership configuration meets the long-term goals of Uzbekistan's economic policy — deepening processing, increasing productivity and employment in the regions, as well as entering new export niches with a greater share of local added value.
