A delegation of the Jizzakh region arrived on an official visit to the Nizhny Novgorod region to discuss projects in industry, education and cultural exchange. The meeting at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin site with the participation of the region's leadership focused the agenda on cooperation in the mechanical and automotive industries, as well as in the chemical and light industries, where synergy of production chains and localization of competencies is possible. The parties are considering the implementation of joint initiatives in the Kulibin special economic zone and free economic zones of Uzbekistan, which allows designing tax and investment conditions and infrastructure support for specific technological tasks. A separate block of negotiations was devoted to educational programs and academic mobility: in three years, the number of students from Uzbekistan in the region's universities has grown from one to one and a half thousand people, which confirms the steady demand for engineering specialties and strengthens the personnel base of future production projects. The cultural agenda includes mutual Days of regions, which creates additional channels for business contacts and increasing awareness of export offers. Following the consultations, the parties indicated their readiness to sign a cooperation agreement and agree on a project portfolio based on the real sector and training of personnel. The focus on joint sites in SEZs with the support of educational and cultural programs forms a predictable framework for business, and for the regions-a step towards deeper industrial cooperation with measurable effects on employment, technology import and value added growth.
