China: Investment potential of Uzbekistan's regions presented in Shandong

An international forum of the construction industry was held in Shandong Province, where the Uzbek delegation presented investment opportunities and the project agenda in the segments of building materials, architecture, design and engineering surveys. The platform brought together more than sixty specialized Chinese companies, which allowed us to move from general interest to substantive discussions — cooperation mechanics, state support measures, logistics solutions and the format of localization of production in the regions of Uzbekistan. The stated agenda reflects the current priorities of the national economy: modernization of residential and industrial infrastructure, improving energy efficiency and creating value chains in the construction sector. For Chinese manufacturers, there is an opportunity for technological partnerships-from joint ventures for the production of "green" building materials to the introduction of digital quality control systems and energy-efficient standards at facilities.

The practical block of the event included a visit to the Jinan Building Materials Industrial Park with a demonstration of modern production lines, energy-saving technologies and product range. This format reduces the information gap between investors and customers: participants get an idea of the partners ' technological readiness and scaling parameters. Uzbekistan focuses on accessible sites, tools for supporting investment projects, and transport corridors for exporting finished products to the region's markets. In the face of growing demand for high-quality materials and installation solutions, cooperation with Shandong Province — one of the strongest industrial centers in China-expands the funnel of equipment suppliers, simplifies technology transfer and increases the competitiveness of future localized production. On this basis, a base is formed for joint projects in industrial housing construction, dry mixes, composites, thermal insulation and engineering systems, where energy efficiency, resource conservation and building life cycle standards are critical.
