First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloyev met in Amman with First Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan Shadi Al-Masadeh, who heads the Supreme Council for Education. The talks focused on the implementation of the agreements set out in the Roadmap adopted following the visit of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to Uzbekistan in August this year.
The parties discussed concrete steps to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science. The focus was on initiatives to expand the academic exchange of students and teachers, as well as the creation of joint research projects that can unite the scientific schools of the two countries. An important element of the dialogue was the discussion of prospects for strengthening institutional cooperation between universities, which will not only improve the level of training, but also strengthen participation in international educational programs.
Of particular interest were the practical implementation of joint initiatives, including the launch of new research areas, academic double degree programs, and the involvement of specialists in projects related to digital technologies and innovations. The parties confirmed their commitment to the idea of forming a long-term cooperation platform that will increase the competitiveness of national education systems and create new opportunities for young people.
The meeting was attended by representatives of religious and educational structures of Uzbekistan, who stressed the importance of an integrated approach that includes not only academic training, but also the development of intercultural dialogue. This area of cooperation is considered as one of the key tools for strengthening bilateral ties and reaching a new level of interaction within the international scientific and educational space.
