Chinese company Keychron has announced the release of the Q16 HE 8K, the world's first fully ceramic keyboard. The novelty features not only a case made of this material, but also ceramic key caps, which creates unique tactile sensations and increased wear resistance.
The keyboard is designed in a compact format without a separate block of function keys. It is based on Lime linear magnetic switches that use the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) effect. The travel of the switches is adjustable in the range from 0.1 to 3.35 mm, the pressing force is from 25 to 48 gs, and the sensitivity reaches 0.01 mm. The resource is claimed at 100 million clicks, which puts the device in the category of highly reliable solutions for intensive use.
The Q16 HE 8K is equipped with RGB lighting and has an ergonomic tilt angle of 5 degrees. Wired connection with a polling frequency of 8 kHz is supported, which is especially important for gamers, where response speed plays a crucial role. This combination of features makes the model competitive not only in the premium office devices segment, but also in the esports industry.
Deliveries are scheduled to start in October 2025. The price will be $ 240, which is equivalent to about 23.1 thousand rubles.
Keychron was founded in 2017 and specializes in the production of keyboards and computer accessories. The brand already has more than 40 models in its product range, but the new Q16 HE 8K stands out as a technological breakthrough in materials and engineering solutions.
