Red Bull has unveiled a unique facility for extreme sports — the world's tallest half-ramp for skateboarding. The structure installed on September 10 at the administrative center of Fernando Ferrari in Brazil, reached a height of 85 meters, which is comparable to a twenty-story building. The facility has become a real challenge for professional athletes and a new stage in the development of the extreme entertainment industry.
The project is positioned as a challenge to the limits of human capabilities and a tool for brand promotion through spectacular sporting events. In the coming weeks, Brazilian skateboarder Sandro Diaz is scheduled to perform the most difficult trick that can go down in the history of the sport on the new half-lamp.
For Red Bull, such initiatives have become part of a long-term strategy. The company systematically invests in projects that connect sports, shows and marketing. Among the most famous actions are Felix Baumgartner's jump from the stratosphere in 2012, Japanese athlete Rei Kobayashi's record-breaking ski jumps, as well as city drone races. In August of this year, the brand organized a stunt by German motorcycle racer Luc Ackermann, who made a jump between moving trucks.
The creation of the 85-meter half-lamp demonstrates that the company continues to strengthen its image not just as an energy drink manufacturer, but as a global player in the entertainment and sports marketing industry. For the extreme sports market, such projects become not only a catalyst for audience interest, but also an example of how brands are able to create new standards of entertainment and engagement.
