Belarus: BelAZ unveils dump truck with gas-diesel engine

Belarusian mining equipment manufacturer BelAZ has demonstrated a new prototype of the BELAZ-7513W gas-diesel dump truck with a lifting capacity of 130 tons. The car was presented on September 10 and became part of the 7513 series, which in 2025 received the State Quality Mark of Belarus. The new product will be a key exhibit of the company at the International gas Forum in St. Petersburg.

The main technological advantage of the model is the engine operating in gas-diesel mode. This system allows replacing up to 15 percent of traditional diesel fuel with liquefied natural gas. This approach reduces the cost of operation and at the same time reduces emissions of harmful substances. The fuel supply ratio is controlled by a special electronic system, and two tanks-1,400 liters of LNG and 1,900 liters of diesel-allow you to work for 12 hours without refueling.

The new dump truck continues the plant's strategy of introducing eco-friendly solutions in heavy machinery. Previously, the company has already produced gas-powered vehicles with lifting capacities of 30, 45 and 90 tons, and in 2024 it introduced the world's first 130-ton dump truck operating exclusively on liquefied natural gas. In the near future, the range is expected to expand: by the end of this year, the premiere of a 220-ton dump truck with an internal combustion engine powered by LNG is planned.

The launch of the BELAZ-7513W reflects the trend towards increasing energy efficiency in heavy industry and confirms the company's desire to strengthen its position in the global quarry equipment market, offering not only high load capacity, but also economic and environmental benefits for customers.
