Fashion house Balenciaga announced the release of a new perfume collection and the opening of a boutique dedicated to its sales. The location was chosen symbolically — it was here that the first fragrance of the brand Le Dix debuted in 1947. The new line includes ten fragrances, each of which refers to the brand's heritage and at the same time demonstrates modern approaches to perfumery.
The bottles follow the shape of the legendary Le Dix, decorated with a glass ball-shaped cap, hand-made ribbon and patinated finish. The packaging combines classic elements — the old logo and recognizable aesthetics of the 40s-with a modern gray shade, which has become a hallmark of the brand.
The collection includes Le Dix, No Comment, Getaria, Twenty Four Seven, To Be Confirmed, Muscara, 100%, Extra, Cristóbal and Incense Perfumum. Each of them has its own olfactory signature and combines tradition with innovative technologies. For example, Le Dix is built around the absolute of iris and iris aldehydes, complemented by incense and violet leaves. Cristóbal combines oud Assafi with patchouli and oak moss, while Muscara is based on absolute ambrette seeds combined with an orris accord. The color palette of the scents varies from transparent tones to thick smoky ones, symbolizing the transition from lightness to saturation.
The launch of the collection reflects Balenciaga's strategy to strengthen its presence in the niche perfume segment and demonstrates its focus on combining cultural heritage and cutting-edge technology. For the luxury goods market, this is an important signal: the brand, known for its bold experiments in fashion, is also strengthening its position in perfumery, creating additional value due to its unique aesthetics and technological efficiency.
