Italy: Sanlorenzo unveils new yacht SL110A at Cannes Film Festival

The Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has unveiled the SL110A, the latest addition to the SL series of asymmetrical planing yachts. The debut took place at the Cannes Yacht Festival, one of the key global events of the yacht industry.

The 33.5-meter-long SL110A occupies an intermediate position between the SL96A and SL120A models, continuing the line where asymmetry becomes a signature feature. The concept is based on spatial ergonomics, which allows you to open up new layout possibilities and turn the yacht into an architectural space on the water.

The main feature of the design is an asymmetrical hull with an extension on the left side, which provides more internal space and opens up panoramic views. This approach is a development of the design solutions that started with the SL102A and SL106A models.

The yacht is equipped with two MTU 16V2000 M96L engines with a power of 2637 hp, which allows you to reach speeds of up to 27 knots. At the same time, the power reserve reaches 1,250 nautical miles in economy mode. This balance of speed and range makes the SL110A attractive for owners who value versatility and freedom of movement.

The interior and exterior areas are carefully designed for maximum comfort. The owner's cabin is located on the full width of the hull and has direct access to the bow pool, which emphasizes the exclusivity of the layout. Guest accommodations include two VIP suites and two transformable double cabins. The spacious crew areas can accommodate up to six people, making the yacht functional for long trips.

The interior, made with dark wood panels and coffered ceilings with resin trim, opens onto a folding terrace, creating the effect of an open space. The interior is decorated with herringbone patterns and imitation stone materials, while the owner's bathroom is decorated with Calacatta marble.

Among the key features of the model are a transparent aft gunwale that enhances the visual connection with the sea, versatile furniture, as well as transformer platforms that turn the transom door into a recreation area with a garage for a tender and a jet ski.

The architects of the project note that the asymmetry in SL110A has become a tool for achieving harmony of space, and not just a formal solution. It creates a sense of openness, increases the volume of interiors and blurs the boundaries between internal and external zones.

Sanlorenzo has consistently consolidated its position in the large yacht segment, where design goes beyond marine engineering and becomes part of the architectural art. The SL110A shows not only the evolution of the brand, but also changes in global consumer preferences, where the harmony of technology, aesthetics and individual experience of the owner is valued not only for speed as such.
