Honda Motorcycle has officially unveiled a limited edition Gold Wing motorcycle dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary model. The anniversary version was called Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition and was released in a limited edition — only 178 copies.
The flagship GL 1800 Gold Wing Tour is available in an exclusive Flowing Gold color, priced at around $ 57,000. Versions in other colors are also available: Night Black for $ 48,000, Digital Silver for $ 51,000, and Bordeaux Red for $ 51,500. Each modification retains the classic design elements of the series, adding modern technological solutions.
The motorcycle is equipped with a 6-cylinder horizontal-opposed engine with a volume of 1800 cubic centimeters, which is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) of the third generation. The design is based on an aluminum frame with a diamond-shaped structure that provides strength and optimal handling. The front suspension with double wishbones improves stability, while the redesigned fairing reduces aerodynamic drag and improves fuel efficiency.
Special attention is paid to the comfort of the driver and passengers. The electric windscreen allows you to adjust the level of protection against oncoming air flow, and the seats are designed with anatomical features in mind: the back of the passenger seat has an angle of inclination of 24.5°, which ensures a natural body position. Additionally, for the convenience of the rear passenger, there is a volume control button for the built-in audio system.
The anniversary edition highlights the historical significance of the Gold Wing model, which since its introduction has become a symbol of comfort, power and long-distance travel. The limited edition is likely to attract collectors and loyal fans of the brand, as well as strengthen Honda's position in the premium touring motorcycle market.
