The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of Deputy Minister Jamol Maksudov with a delegation of the People's Republic of China headed by President of the Chamber of Electronic Commerce Wang Ning. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies, digital economy and e-commerce.
The Chinese side showed particular interest in the results of digitalization reforms and initiatives aimed at creating a modern IT ecosystem in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the delegation was provided with information about IT Park Uzbekistan projects, as well as about the activities of the UZINFOCOM Center, which implements solutions in the field of e-government and digital services.
Representatives of the People's Republic of China noted the significant success of Uzbekistan in the formation of digital infrastructure and expressed readiness to expand cooperation. The main focus was on the prospects for joint initiatives in the field of e-commerce, the introduction of advanced digital technologies and the development of innovative startups.
The parties discussed the possibility of creating new forms of partnership, including investment projects, exchange of experience in the field of digital economy regulation, and organization of joint forums. The importance of strengthening direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries to accelerate the implementation of innovative solutions and the development of cross-border e-commerce was emphasized.
Following the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in further deepening cooperation and implementing specific projects that can become a new stage in the development of digital relations between Uzbekistan and China.
