Australia: Hyundai unveils updated Tucson and Santa Fe 2026 with digital key

Hyundai has introduced the updated 2026 Tucson and Santa Fe models for the Australian market, focusing on digitalization and new ways to interact with the car. The main innovation was the integration of Digital Key 2 technology, which allows you to use the iPhone or Apple Watch as a full-fledged replacement for the traditional key.

For Tucson, the updates affected not only the technological equipment, but also the appearance. A new Ecotronic Grey body color has been added to the line, as well as upgraded wheels that emphasize the dynamic design of the crossover.

The changes also affected the pricing policy. The basic version of the Tucson with a 2.0 MPI engine now costs from 38,100 Australian dollars, which is 1000-2500 dollars lower than the previous level, depending on the configuration. Hybrid versions start at $ 42,600, and the top-end Premium configuration reaches $ 58,100.

At the same time, the Santa Fe model has risen in price: the cost has increased by 400 Australian dollars across the entire line. The minimum price is now $ 53,400, and the top-end version of the Calligraphy AWD Hybrid is estimated at $ 76,900.

The integration of Digital Key 2 technology is part of Hyundai's strategy to expand digital services and increase convenience for car owners. The ability to use a smartphone or smart watch instead of a key ring reflects the general trend in the automotive industry to introduce intelligent solutions that ensure comfort and safety.
