Fashion house Dior has presented an updated version of its iconic fragrance Miss Dior Essence, continuing the tradition of one of the most recognizable perfume campaigns in the world. The face of the advertising campaign was once again the actress Natalie Portman, whose collaboration with the brand has been supported for more than ten years.
The new fragrance was created by perfumer Francis Kurkjian, who tried to pay tribute to the first Miss Dior in 1947, but at the same time brought modern accents. Bright fruit notes have been added to the composition, reflecting the current trends in perfume art in 2025.
According to Portman, Miss Dior Essence symbolizes feminine strength and love of life, and also echoes the image of Catherine Dior, the sister of the founder of the fashion house Christian Dior. Catherine took part in the Resistance movement during the Second World War, which makes her the epitome of resilience and freedom of spirit.
The campaign with Natalie Portman has become a landmark for the industry: since 2017, her participation in the Miss Dior promotion has been recognized as one of the most successful examples of perfume marketing. Previously, the actress collaborated with Dior in other projects, including presenting the line of decorative cosmetics Diorskin Nude.
Miss Dior Essence, according to experts, combines heritage and modernity, emphasizing not only the aesthetic evolution of the brand, but also its desire to talk to the audience about the values of freedom, courage and femininity. The advertising campaign is aimed at creating an emotional connection with consumers and strengthening Dior's leadership position in the premium perfume segment.
