USA: Tesla will introduce the ability to play video games while driving

Tesla is preparing to launch a new feature that will allow drivers of electric cars to play video games while driving. This was announced by the company's CEO Elon Musk. It is expected that this feature will become available within the next three to six months, subject to approval from regulators at the state and municipal levels.

The function will work through the company's autopilot Tesla — FSD (Full Self-Driving), which takes control of the car. According to Musk, during the trip, the driver will not need to interact with the steering wheel, which creates a technical opportunity to use travel time for entertainment.

The information occasion arose after the appearance of a video in which the owner of a Cybertruck plays Grand Theft Auto V using a tablet installed on top of a standard Tesla screen. After that, one of the users asked when similar functionality will be available using the built-in multimedia system. Musk confirmed that such a feature is already in development.

Tesla continues to actively develop autonomous driving technologies. In June of this year, the company launched a pilot platform Robotaxi in Austin. Later, the testing area was expanded to the territory of San Francisco. These steps confirm the company's strategic vector for transforming personal and public transport, giving priority to driverless technologies and user experience.

The implementation of the game entertainment function behind the wheel requires not only technical training, but also legislative approval.
