China: Updated Haval Raptor Hi4 hybrid SUV unveiled

Car brand Haval, part of the Chinese holding company Great Wall Motor, presented an updated version of the plug-in hybrid SUV-Haval Raptor Hi4 2026 model year. The novelty combines an improved powertrain, technological equipment and a redesigned exterior and interior design.

The presented images show the changes, including square headlights with 123 LED modules that provide illumination at a distance of up to 189 meters, and taillights with a horizontal layout of 300 diodes. A 1088 mm long light strip connects the headlights at the front of the vehicle. On the rear door of the SUV, the "Haval" logo has been replaced with "GWM". Overall dimensions remained unchanged: length 4800 mm, width 1950 mm, height 1843 mm, wheelbase — 2738 mm. The wheel arches are extended by 30 mm, and among the new color schemes, a mint green shade stands out.

The interior features a two-spoke steering wheel with a steering wheel selector, a redesigned control panel architecture, and a reduced number of physical buttons. The car is equipped with the Coffee OS 3 operating system and a driver assistance system, which includes seven cameras and many radars.

The technical update of the SUV is an upgraded Hi4 system, which includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 113 kW and two electric motors. The combined power of the hybrid unit is 330 kW (443 hp), with a torque of 750 Nm. Thanks to the improved traction battery with a capacity of 35.43 kWh, the car is able to cover up to 151 km on electric traction on the WLTC cycle. Model weight — 2135 kg. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.9 seconds.

Compared to the previous version in 2024 (220 kW, 510 N·m, maximum speed 190 km/h), the new model shows a significant increase in power and dynamics. The Haval Raptor Hi4 2026 is expected to be available to Chinese buyers in September this year. The price has not yet been announced, but the current version is sold in the Chinese market from 23 thousand dollars.
