The American technology corporation Apple is developing an artificial intelligence system focused on processing user requests, which should be a new stage in the evolution of the intelligent functions of Siri, Spotlight and the Safari browser. Currently, the company is actively expanding its staff of machine learning and artificial intelligence specialists in its divisions in the United States and China.
According to the current job descriptions, Apple is interested in specialists who can participate in the creation of large language models that can analyze the user's personal documents and provide personalized responses in compliance with the principles of confidentiality. This approach reflects the company's strategic focus on protecting personal data while enhancing the intellectual capabilities of its digital assistants.
Internally, the company is developing the new infrastructure needed to integrate smart search into future versions of Apple's system features. Special attention is paid to the creation of the so — called "answer system"-a complex that will be able to scan the Internet space and provide answers to general questions.
In parallel, the possibility of releasing a separate application designed to interact with the new AI search engine is being discussed. This solution can be implemented as an alternative or addition to Siri, providing users with a more flexible and advanced tool for obtaining information.
According to available information, Apple is also working on a redesigned version of Siri with elements of generative AI. However, the release of this version has been postponed and is expected no earlier than the release of the iOS 27 operating system.
The company's AI strategy is increasingly focused on creating its own autonomous ecosystem of intelligent services that compete with products based on models like ChatGPT, but at the same time focus on deeper personalization and high standards of privacy.
