China: Xiaomi has announced an electric scooter with a power reserve of up to 60 kilometers

Technology company Xiaomi has introduced a new model of electric scooter called Electric Scooter 5 Plus, which is aimed at users looking for a combination of mobility, reliability and increased power reserve in urban environments. The device occupies an intermediate position between the basic versions of the brand's scooters and the flagship Max model.

The novelty is equipped with an electric motor with a power of up to 900 watts, which makes it possible to overcome climbs with a slope of up to 20 percent. The maximum speed is limited to 25 kilometers per hour in accordance with the requirements of most city regulations. The battery provides up to 60 kilometers of mileage on a single charge, which makes the model suitable for both everyday trips and extended travel radius.

Electric Scooter 5 Plus is equipped with tubeless tires with a diameter of 12 inches, which increases stability when driving on various types of urban surfaces. The device is also IPX5 certified for water resistance, which allows the scooter to be used in high humidity or light rain conditions without the risk of damage to key components.

Settings management and monitoring of the scooter's condition are carried out through the Xiaomi Home mobile application, which allows the user to control the charge level, trip statistics and firmware updates.

The model is currently available for purchase in the Philippines at a price of about $ 536. The company announced plans to launch the device in other markets in the near future, which indicates the brand's desire to strengthen its position in the personal electric vehicle segment.
