Uzbekistan: approved procedure for advanced training of specialists in digital criminalistics

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved a resolution aimed at developing a systematic approach to training specialists in the field of digital criminalistics and creating a unified electronic register of certified personnel. The document was adopted as a follow-up to the instructions defined in the presidential decree of January 2025, and became an important step towards the formation of a national cybersecurity infrastructure.

According to the decree, training of specialists in the field of digital criminalistics will be conducted at least once every two years. For this purpose, a comprehensive system of courses, seminars and internships is being created, which can be held both in person and remotely. The minimum amount of programs is set at 36 academic hours, which will allow participants to master current methods of digital analysis, investigation and prevention of cybercrime. At the end of the training, specialists will receive certificates of the established sample.

For professionals who have been trained abroad, official recognition of qualifications based on documents of foreign educational institutions is provided. At the same time, a centralized electronic register of certified specialists is being created, which will ensure transparency of the personnel base and simplify the process of verifying experts for state and commercial structures.

The professional development system will be financed from the state budget, as well as from other sources that do not contradict the legislation. The main goal of the initiative is to train highly qualified personnel who can effectively respond to the threats of the digital space, ensure data protection and form modern digital security standards.

The measures taken reflect Uzbekistan's strategic course to strengthen national cyber resilience and create conditions for professional growth of specialists in the field of digital technologies, which is a key factor for ensuring the security of the country's information infrastructure.
