OpenAI, the developer of the neural network chatbot ChatGPT, has announced an important milestone: the service's weekly active audience has exceeded 700 million users. This number includes both individuals and corporate clients who actively use the capabilities of artificial intelligence to solve problems of varying complexity — from text generation to process automation and analytics.
In parallel with the growth of the user base, the company demonstrates impressive financial results. According to internal reports, OpenAI's revenue reached $ 1 billion per month. This means that the company's annual revenue by the end of 2025 may reach about $ 12 billion, which is almost twice as high as at the beginning of this year.
On the back of solid growth, the company adjusted its 2025 spending forecast from the previously expected $ 7 billion to $ 8 billion. The main investments are aimed at scaling the infrastructure, developing new models and expanding the functionality of the product.
OpenAI continues to actively seek strategic investors to complete the second phase of its $ 30 billion funding round. Among the largest participants are the world's leading venture funds, including Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global Management, as well as a Japanese investment holding, whose total contribution since the fall of 2024 has reached $ 32 billion.
ChatGPT remains one of the most popular neural network platforms in the world. The expansion of the model's capabilities, integration with enterprise tools, and the emergence of new user interfaces contribute to maintaining OpenAI's leadership in the global generative AI market.
