The operating system will be Android 16, supplemented with the proprietary HyperOS version 3.0 shell, which includes updated interface adaptation algorithms and improved mechanisms for working with large screens.
According to the established practice, Xiaomi presents its flagships among the first after the presentation of new processors from Qualcomm. Given the fact that Qualcomm has scheduled the announcement of its platform for the second half of September, the official premiere of the Xiaomi 16 line, including the Pro Max, may take place at the end of September or in October of this year.
Against the background of growing competition in the segment of Android flagships, Xiaomi is striving not only to strengthen its position in China, but also to strengthen its influence in international markets. In particular, the focus is on improving mobile photography, power consumption of devices and integration with smart home ecosystems, which is in line with the company's long-term strategy of moving from a smartphone manufacturer to a provider of integrated digital solutions.
