Uzbekistan: mobile application for consumer protection launches

Uzbekistan is implementing a project to introduce the Ist'molchi mobile application, aimed at increasing the transparency of economic processes and strengthening consumer protection. The app is being developed as part of a collaboration between the Federation of Consumer Protection Societies and a technology company specializing in digital solutions for the civil sector.

The new digital platform combines functional solutions aimed at minimizing shadow turnover, reducing informal employment, and strengthening control over payment discipline. The app will become a tool for monitoring consumer complaints and quickly responding to violations.

One of the key elements will be the integration of the Yashil to'lov system — a digital module designed to increase payment transparency and simplify control over financial transactions. Through the app, users will be able to get up-to-date information about transactions, as well as verify the participation of retail outlets and service providers in legal economic turnover.

The functionality of Ist'molchi will be supplemented with educational modules — video instructions, tests and legal recommendations aimed at improving the level of consumer and financial literacy among the population.

The platform is focused not only on recording complaints, but also on forming an active civic position. Users will have the opportunity to interact directly with the Federation of Consumer Protection Societies, send appeals, attach evidence, and track the status of their applications.

Digitalization of processes in the field of consumer protection is an important part of the state policy aimed at creating a fair market and strengthening trust between business and society. The introduction of the Ist'molchi mobile app opens a new stage in ensuring transparency, legal protection and sustainable development of the consumer sector in Uzbekistan.
