Uzbekistan: Green Talks project will become a platform for developing environmental culture among young people

A new public project called "Green Talks" has been launched in Uzbekistan, aimed at developing ecological thinking, creating a culture of responsible attitude to the environment and stimulating the participation of young people in solving environmental problems. The initiative comes from members of the Youth Parliament and was supported by the Central Council of the Ecological Party.

The presentation of the initiative was held as part of a meeting in the Executive Committee of the Ecological Party with the participation of representatives of youth organizations. During the discussion, it was emphasized that the development of ecological culture is becoming a priority of the state and public agenda, especially in the context of global climate change and the aggravation of problems related to the conservation of biodiversity and the rational use of natural resources.

The Green Talks project will function as an open discussion platform where young people will be able to freely express their opinions on sustainable development issues, discuss current environmental challenges, share initiatives and propose concrete solutions. The format includes regular meetings, public discussions, expert sessions and educational events aimed at raising awareness and developing practical involvement.

The head of the Environmental Party, Abdushukur Khamzayev, expressed support for the project, noting its importance as an effective tool for dialogue between young activists, parliamentarians and the expert community. In his opinion, such an initiative forms the value base for environmentally oriented policies of future generations.

"Green Talks" is also positioned as an element of the system for promoting the principles of sustainable development enshrined in the strategic documents of Uzbekistan and the country's international obligations in the field of ecology. Special attention will be paid to such areas as responsible consumption, conservation of water and land resources, waste management, development of environmental education and the volunteer movement.

The implementation of such platforms plays an important role in the formation of active citizenship and long-term eco-social sustainability. The creation of an open dialogue mechanism with the participation of young people strengthens the potential of Uzbekistan in the field of climate sustainability and transition to a"green economy".

The Green Talks project opens up prospects for expanding partnerships with international environmental organizations, scientific institutions and representatives of the private sector who are ready to invest in environmental education and awareness. In the context of the transformation of global environmental standards, such an initiative can become a model for the development of public eco-platforms in the region.
