Japan: Honda introduces electric kei-car with external power function

In Japan, the production version of the compact electric car Honda N-One e:, which previously debuted as a prototype at the international automobile exhibition, was announced. The novelty meets the standards of key cars: the length of the car does not exceed 3,400 millimeters, and the power of the power plant is limited to 47 kilowatts. The electric car is designed for autonomous driving over 270 kilometers on the WLTC cycle.

The main attention in the design is paid to the combination of compactness, functionality and energy efficiency. The interior is designed in a minimalistic way, while Honda has retained a number of analog controls: physical buttons, manual volume control and a classic gear selector in the spirit of European models of the brand. N-One e: Supports single-speed driving mode, which increases comfort when operating in urban environments.

The model is offered in two trim levels: the L version includes a 9-inch multimedia display with the Honda Connect system and aluminum wheels, while the G version is equipped with steel wheels and does not have a central screen. The rear seats are folded in a 50: 50 ratio, and a niche for a smartphone is provided under the center console. There is no wireless charging.

Special attention should be paid to the V2L (vehicle-to-load) function implemented in the new model. With the help of a special adapter, the car can be used as an external battery to power household appliances or charge other electrical devices, such as electric bicycles. This feature makes N-One e: an attractive option not only for urban mobility, but also for users who value autonomy and energy independence.

The exterior of the model is complemented by an LED battery level indicator and sporty decorative elements-including double stripes on the body. The launch of sales in Japan is scheduled for September 2025. In the future, we are considering expanding our sales geography to include European and Asian markets, where there is a growing interest in the compact electric city car segment.
