Wildberries logistics centers in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan plans to launch a network of large logistics centers of the international marketplace Wildberries. The initiative is aimed at deepening the presence of one of the largest e-commerce players in the republic and improving the efficiency of operations for the delivery, processing and storage of goods.
As the Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan said during the international economic forum, negotiations with Wildberries are in the final stage. The discussions focused on creating a modern logistics infrastructure that can serve not only the current volume of orders, but also ensure business scaling in the long term.
Today, Wildberries is already actively operating in Uzbekistan: there are more than 100 order collection points throughout the country. However, with the rapid growth of e-commerce and an increasing user base, there is a need to move to a new phase of the operational model — the formation of a network of logistics hubs. These centers will become reference points for speeding up delivery times, optimizing internal logistics processes, and improving the quality of customer service.
For Uzbekistan itself, the project is of strategic interest. The involvement of Wildberries in localizing logistics capacities allows us not only to stimulate the development of e-commerce, but also to involve small and medium-sized businesses, manufacturers and suppliers in this process. Strengthening ties with the marketplace contributes to the growth of online exports and expands sales channels for local companies.
The regional context adds to the project's significance. The representative of the Uzbek ministry noted that the development of transport infrastructure and logistics should become a priority for Central Asian countries, especially in the context of industrial cooperation and digitalization of trade. The successful experience of working with Wildberries demonstrates how effective interaction with multinational platforms can transform the region's economy.
At the global level, Wildberries is already represented in 10 countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Belarus. The recent launch of logistics channels in Tajikistan and delivery from the United Arab Emirates confirm the company's expansionist strategy. The expansion of logistics capacities in Uzbekistan logically fits into this vector and makes the country one of the key nodes of the trans-regional marketplace network.
Uzbekistan's participation in such initiatives strengthens its status as a promising platform for digital trade and platform economy. Cooperation with Wildberries is becoming not just a business issue, but an element of a systemic transformation of the consumer market and the logistics environment of the country.
