Uzbekistan forms the Secretariat of the Council of Foreign Investors

The Secretariat of the Council of Foreign Investors will be created in Uzbekistan — a new structure designed to strengthen systematic work on attracting foreign capital and supporting foreign economic initiatives. The corresponding decision is fixed by the decree of the President of the Republic.

The Secretariat will receive the status of a non-governmental non-profit organization and will become a working body for the preparation and coordination of investment policy initiatives. One of the key tasks of the new structure will be to develop concrete proposals for improving the investment climate, taking into account international practice and regional specifics.

It is planned to involve the world's leading financial institutions and professional associations in the work of the Secretariat. This will ensure high level of expert support in the development of legislative and institutional reforms that promote the growth of foreign direct investment inflows.

Special attention will be paid to consulting work with representatives of foreign and domestic businesses. The Secretariat will serve as a link between government agencies and the business community, facilitating accelerated decision-making, removing administrative barriers and increasing transparency in the investment environment.

In parallel with the creation of the Secretariat, the updated composition of the Council of Foreign Investors was approved. This structure, founded in 2019, serves as a permanent platform for direct dialogue between the state and foreign companies implementing projects in the republic.

The Council has already established itself as an important tool for strategic cooperation, allowing to take into account the opinion of international investors in the formation of state economic policy. With the establishment of the Secretariat, its activities will be strengthened institutionally, which will create prerequisites for deeper integration of Uzbekistan into global investment processes.
