Uzbekistan is among the top 25 safest countries in the world according to the international rating

According to the results of 2025, Uzbekistan took the 25th place in the updated rating of the safest countries and territories in the world. The study, published on the international platform for Quality of Life analysis, reflects citizens ' perceptions of personal and public safety.

The rating is formed on the basis of two key indicators-the Crime Index and the Safety Index, which are calculated on a scale from 0 to 100. The lower the crime index and the higher the security index, the more favorable the situation in the country is recognized. Uzbekistan in 2025 showed a result of 73.4 points on the Safety Index and 26.6-on the Crime Index. This corresponds to a low crime rate by international standards.

Compared to other countries in the region, Uzbekistan has shown a significantly higher position. Kazakhstan ranked 73rd with a safety index of 54.4, while Kyrgyzstan ranked 101st with a score of 48 points. These indicators highlight the relative stability and high level of public order in Uzbekistan, which creates a positive investment and tourism climate.

Against the background of global trends, where the growth of urbanization and social pressure leads to a more complex crime situation even in developed countries, Uzbekistan shows a stable position. The study took into account such parameters as the safety of movement during the day and night, the likelihood of pickpocketing, the risks of physical violence, sexual harassment and other forms of criminal activity.

The leaders of the world ranking are the United Arab Emirates, Andorra and Qatar — countries that traditionally demonstrate a high level of state control and a developed security infrastructure. At the bottom of the table were countries facing acute internal crises, including Haiti, Papua New Guinea and Venezuela.

Although the data is of the nature of public perception, the rating remains one of the most extensive open sources used by analysts and investors when assessing the level of risk in various countries. The recognition of Uzbekistan as one of the 25 safest jurisdictions strengthens its position as an attractive destination for international cooperation, investment and business scaling in Central Asia.
