Li Auto i8 electric suv
The Chinese auto industry continues to shift the boundaries of the premium segment, presenting technologically sophisticated and aesthetically refined solutions against the backdrop of rapid development of electric vehicles. A new step in this direction — the official premiere of the first all-electric SUV Li i8 from the company Li Auto. The model demonstrates not only high technical characteristics, but also a reformatted approach to the interior and user experience.
The interior design of the car is made in a light color scheme with accents in the color of champagne gold. Instead of the usual matte finish, metallic textures are used to emphasize the premium character of the model. The centerpiece of the interior is a classic steering wheel with an integrated display, which reflects the trend towards merging digital technologies with driver ergonomics. The interior features leather-covered door panels, two large-format screens, an AR-HUD projection system and a whole range of advanced features.
Special attention is paid to the second row. One of the seats is equipped with the "zero gravity" function-a technology that allows you to reduce the pressure on the spine as much as possible during long trips. This solution is positioned as an alternative to business class in aviation, transferred to the premium SUV segment. The rear part of the body is made in the corporate style of Li Auto with a strip of through lights, emphasizing the recognition of the model.
The dimensions of the Li i8 indicate the manufacturer's ambitions in the segment of full-size electric off-road vehicles: 5085 mm in length, 1960 mm in width, 1740 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3050 mm. These parameters suggest a spacious interior with an emphasis on comfort and a high level of sound insulation.
The model is based on a two-engine all-wheel drive system: 150 kW on the front axle and 250 kW on the rear, which adds up to 400 kW or about 544 horsepower. This power allows the Li i8 to compete with the European and American flagships of the segment. An air suspension system is included as standard, providing adaptive control of ground clearance and comfort on different types of surfaces.
Power is provided by the latest 5C triple lithium-ion batteries with two capacity options — 90 and 98 kWh. The claimed power reserve is 670 and 720 kilometers, respectively, which puts the model among the long-range solutions on the SUV market without internal combustion engines.
The official start of accepting orders for the Li i8 is scheduled for July 17, prices have not yet been announced. However, according to the set of declared characteristics and design, the model is clearly aimed at competing with the leaders of the premium segment — from German brands to new players from California and Seoul.
