Samsung Galaxy Watch8
Samsung has expanded its range of smart watches with the introduction of the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic models, aimed at a wide audience of users who value functionality, ergonomics and advanced health capabilities. New products have become part of the One UI 8 Watch ecosystem and offer updated features in both design and technical equipment.
Galaxy Watch8 is presented in two formats - with cases with a diameter of 40 and 44 mm. Externally, they have become 11% thinner compared to the previous generation: the thickness is only 8.6 mm, which makes them the most compact smart watches of the brand. The use of bright AMOLED displays (1.34 and 1.47 inches, respectively)with peak brightness of up to 3000 nits enhances the convenience of outdoor use.
The Galaxy Watch8 Classic is focused on the premium segment and comes in only one size — 46mm. The device has a rotating bezel-a signature feature of the Classic line, which allows you to interact more intuitively with the interface. In addition, the case has a quick access button Quick Button, customizable for frequently used applications. With a thickness of 10.6 mm, the model still retains a comfortable fit on the wrist.
Both models are powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset, which uses a 3-nanometer process technology, which provides increased performance with lower power consumption. The amount of RAM is 2 GB, and the built — in memory is 32 GB for the standard version and 64 GB for the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, which opens up more opportunities for storing music, apps and offline maps.
The watch is aimed at health-conscious users. The devices have functions for measuring body temperature, recording an electrocardiogram( ECG), monitoring heart rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2). In addition, GPS navigation is supported, which is especially popular among outdoor sports enthusiasts.
The Galaxy Watch8 is equipped with 325 mAh (40 mm version) and 435 mAh (44 mm version) batteries, while the Galaxy Watch8 Classic has a 425 mAh battery. Support for wireless charging makes everyday use even more convenient.
The price range of the models confirms Samsung's ambitions in the middle and premium segments: Galaxy Watch8 — from 380 to 460 euros, Galaxy Watch8 Classic — from 530 to 580 euros. Given the saturation of the wearable electronics market and increased competition from Chinese manufacturers and Apple, new products from Samsung will be especially interesting for those who are integrated into the Android ecosystem and are looking for a balance between functionality, design and accuracy of health monitoring.
The launch of a new line of smart watches from Samsung confirms the global trend towards digital medicine, personalized approach to health and everyday digital integration. Betting on a hybrid of functionality and premium features can strengthen the company's position in the fight for users who consider smart watches not only as a fashion accessory, but also as a professional tool for monitoring the state of the body.
