Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan strengthen transport links: FlyArystan launches direct flight Atyrau-Tashkent

From July 15, a new direct air service will be opened between Atyrau and Tashkent. Kazakh air carrier FlyArystan launches regular flights between the western part of Kazakhstan and the capital of Uzbekistan. The new route will expand the geography of air traffic between the two countries and create additional opportunities for business trips and tourist routes.

Flights will be operated three times a week. During the summer period, from July to August, flights are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. In autumn, in September and October, the schedule will be changed — flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The route will be operated by Airbus A320 airliners.

The minimum cost of a ticket in economy class starts from 35 thousand tenge, which is equivalent to approximately 852 thousand soums. The flight time will be just over two hours.

It is expected that the route will attract a wide audience of passengers, including tourists, students and representatives of the business community. According to the carrier, direct air communication with Tashkent will become especially relevant for residents of neighboring regions of Kazakhstan-Aktobe, Aktau and Uralsk-due to a convenient transport connection with Atyrau.

In parallel with the expansion of air traffic, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan continue to develop railway infrastructure. Currently, the launch of a new tourist route Jibek Joly, which will connect Ust-Kamenogorsk with the cities of Uzbekistan, is being worked out. A similar train already runs from Almaty, providing an alternative to air travel and promoting cultural and economic exchange between the two countries.

The expansion of routes within the framework of regional cooperation reflects Uzbekistan's desire to strengthen ties with its closest neighbors and stimulate population mobility in the Eurasian space.
