Uzbekistan forms a new approach to the development of the capital: a strategic atlas of solutions for Tashkent and New Tashkent is presented

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the "Atlas of Solutions" concept — a key strategic document aimed at the integrated development of Tashkent and the New Tashkent under construction. The initiative represents a new stage in the formation of a unified urban space aimed at modernizing the capital and creating a sustainable, functional metropolis.

The document is designed as a logical continuation of the general plan of the city of Tashkent, calculated until 2045. The General Plan sets out the spatial parameters of development, including areas where engineering, transport and social infrastructure is located, as well as protected areas and green belts subject to special regulation.

The Atlas of Solutions consists of five volumes, each of which contains practical recommendations for the design, placement and operation of urban environment objects. The focus is on standards of architectural design, landscaping, street infrastructure, and visual identity of the urban environment.

The document pays special attention to moving away from fragmented landscaping. In particular, the transition from a local approach to roadway repair — from the "red line" - to an international practice, when reconstruction covers the entire street space: from the facade of one building to the facade of another. This method ensures the integrity of the appearance of a city street and eliminates the imbalance between different functional zones.

Atlas of Solutions is focused on implementing the principles of sustainable development, integrating the national architectural tradition into modern planning and creating a comfortable urban environment. Its implementation involves the formation of eco-friendly, aesthetically attractive and accessible public spaces. The document is also designed to minimize common mistakes made in the implementation of landscaping projects, due to a single regulatory and project base.

During the presentation, the President of Uzbekistan listened to the key provisions of the document and outlined priority tasks for its application. Among them are preserving the historical appearance of Tashkent, improving the quality of the urban environment, developing street and road infrastructure, ensuring architectural coherence and improving the overall urban culture.

The presented document will become the basis for design bureaus, municipal services, investors and developers, providing common standards and long-term guidelines for the development of the metropolitan agglomeration.
