As part of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2025, key memoranda were signed aimed at expanding cooperation between the Sverdlovsk Region and the Republic of Uzbekistan and Republika Srpska. The documents were signed in the presence of Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler.
Special attention was paid to the development of Russian-Uzbek business ties. A trilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and two leading enterprises from Uzbekistan — JSC "Thermal Power Stations" and JSC "O'ZBEKENERGOTA'MIR". The document provides for joint implementation of energy projects, exchange of technologies, increase of export potential, as well as promotion of scientific and technical developments.
According to Vasily Kozlov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Uzbekistan is one of the five key foreign economic partners of the region. Over the past five years, the mutual trade turnover has more than doubled, and the export of equipment for the energy and mining industries of Uzbekistan has increased fourfold. The agreements concluded allow us to consolidate the positive dynamics and reach a new level of industrial cooperation.
Earlier, the parties outlined vectors of joint work during the exhibition " INNOPROM. Central Asia", held in April 2025. The new memorandum is aimed at further developing industrial cooperation and supporting the export of goods and services between the two countries.
At the same time, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Sverdlovsk Region and the Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The agreement was signed by Vasily Kozlov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, and Petar Jokic, Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska. The document covers the areas of energy, mining, scientific and technical exchange, as well as education and culture.
Petar Djokic stressed the importance of signing the agreement for deepening bilateral ties, noting that it creates a solid foundation for new projects and mutually beneficial economic solutions. Cooperation between Republika Srpska universities and Ural Federal University is particularly highlighted.
Special attention is paid to the preparation of an agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between the Polevskoy city district and the Foca Municipality, which should become an additional element of strengthening interregional cooperation.
The memoranda signed on the sidelines of INNOPROM emphasize the importance of Uzbekistan and Republika Srpska as reliable international partners of the Sverdlovsk Region in strategic sectors of the economy.
