Uzbekistan and Georgia strengthen economic partnership amid growing mutual trade

During his official visit to Tbilisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili. The main topic of discussion was strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, with an emphasis on developing mutual trade, investment ties and industrial cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen partnership in key sectors. They discussed measures to expand the presence of national products in the markets of the two countries, enhance interaction between business circles, as well as implement joint projects in the transport and logistics sector. Special attention was paid to improving the efficiency of transit potential, which is especially relevant against the background of Georgia's growing role as a transport corridor between Central Asia and Europe.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan stressed that in recent years, the countries have demonstrated steady dynamics in the development of economic relations. New areas of cooperation in industry, agriculture, energy and digital transformation are being worked out.

During the talks, the parties also expressed their readiness to actively work on creating favorable conditions for mutual investment and technology exchange. Uzbekistan sees Georgia as an important partner in the Black Sea region and a strong point in expanding the export routes of Uzbek products.

Joint efforts are aimed at improving the sustainability of the economies of both countries, developing transport connectivity and creating new production chains in Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
