Stavropol region and Uzbekistan expand economic cooperation

Uzbekistan continues to strengthen regional partnerships with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, increasing the volume of mutual trade and cooperation in the agricultural, industrial and tourism sectors. One of the examples was the visit of the delegation of the Stavropol Territory to the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom", held in Tashkent.

As part of the business program, representatives of Stavropol region held a number of negotiations with Uzbek ministries and business circles. According to the Minister of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory Anton Doronin, the key area of discussion was the promotion of agricultural products. In particular, a preliminary agreement was reached with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan on the supply of fruit and berry products and the development of nursery production.

At the same time, prospects for cooperation in the field of tourism were also discussed. With the opening of direct flights from Stavropol to Tashkent and Samarkand, new opportunities are being created for the development of cultural and business exchange between the regions. This is especially true given the growing interest of Russian tourists in the historical and cultural attractions of Uzbekistan.

Active support of regional authorities plays an important role in promoting the region's export interests. Stavropol Region Governor Vladimir Vladimirov identified the development of foreign economic relations as one of the priorities. Participation in exhibitions and forums, such as Innoprom, helps establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs and government agencies, accelerating the integration of regional economies.

Uzbekistan, in turn, considers the Stavropol Territory as one of the most promising partners in the southern part of Russia. Mutual interest in cooperation, supported by logistics opportunities and the growing dynamics of trade turnover, opens up new horizons for the implementation of joint projects in the field of agriculture, tourism and high technologies.
