IT Park University presented an updated concept of practice-oriented IT education

The Ministry of Digital Technologies hosted the IT Park University (ITPU) Open Day, where a new model of university education in the field of information technology was presented. The event brought together more than 100 participants, including prospective applicants, their parents and representatives of the IT industry, which became an important platform for discussing trends and opportunities in the digital education sector.

ITPU was created with the participation of the international technology company EPAM in partnership with IT Park and the Ministry of Digital Technologies. The University became the first university in the country focused on the deep integration of practical IT skills into the educational process. Academic programs combine traditional theoretical training with active involvement of students in real industry projects — starting from the first year.

Opening remarks were made by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, and Bokhodir Ayupov, Director of IT Park University. The management emphasized the strategic task of training a new generation of professionals capable of developing world-class technological solutions and successfully working in a global IT environment. Training at the university is conducted with the participation of active EPAM specialists, which ensures a close connection with the industry and practical relevance of the programs.

Undergraduate and graduate programs include software engineering, cybersecurity, information security, and IT project management using artificial intelligence. Students have the opportunity to develop startups, participate in national competitions, receive grants and practice at leading technology companies in the country and abroad.

Today, ITPU has more than 400 students, 80 of whom are in the first year of the university. According to official data, 80% of graduates are already employed in such organizations as IT Park, TBC Bank x Payme, Alif, Beeline and international EPAM. Two students are doing an internship at Apple, which highlights the high level of training and global competitiveness of the educational approach.

Partner organizations, including IT Bilim, TBC Uzbekistan and the technology community of Uzbekistan, presented their visions for the development of the industry and shared recommendations on the professional adaptation of young professionals. Topics of discussion covered both local career opportunities and the requirements of the international labor market.

The highlight of the day was the award ceremony for the winners of the contest Exam Challenge. Out of 159 participants, the first place was taken by Ilos Avazbayev, who showed the best results in mathematics and English. He got a MacBook. Second place went to Behruz Nodirov, who received Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, and third — Abdulloh Sodikov with a prize in the form of Sony WH-CH720N.

The event ended with an informal meeting of students, teachers and industry experts. Guests were able to get practical advice, discuss prospects, and ask questions about admission, curriculum, and career trajectory.

Applications for undergraduate programs are open until September 20, 2025. To apply, you must pass an online test in mathematics and English, the level of proficiency of which must be at least B1. You can choose from two four-year programs: "Software Engineering" and "Cybersecurity".

The Master's program accepts applications until September 18, 2025. Candidates are interviewed in English (at least B2 level) and given an online test. The duration of the programs is 1.5 years. The following areas are offered: "Software Engineering", "Information Security" and "IT Project Management and artificial Intelligence".
